JFK for Life Health & Fitness Center
At the JFK for Life Health & Fitness Center, we believe that both a healthy mind and body are essential to healthy living. That’s why we approach health and fitness from a medical perspective. While it’s important to treat those who are ill, it’s equally important to continuously improve the quality of life for those who are healthy.
Our Health & Fitness Center is designed to provide an environment of exercise activity for both well-bodied and special needs individuals. We can help anyone in the community achieve their personal health goals. In addition, we can work with individuals who are transitioning from an (outpatient) rehabilitation setting and want a new lifestyle that incorporates exercise and healthy habits.
With over 5,000 square feet of space, our Health & Fitness Center offers a wide array of equipment including treadmills, upper body ergometers, NuSteps, elliptical trainers, and a full circuit of resistance machines and free weights.
Our Center has many benefits and amenities, but it’s our staff that makes us who we are. We place a priority on personalized fitness plans. Our degreed and certified team members are here to help you reach your personal best by supporting your efforts toward optimal health and fitness.
We encourage you to visit our Health & Fitness Center, speak with one of our trainers, and get a complimentary tour of our facility. For more information please call us at 732.632.1610.
A Unique Health & Fitness Approach
While we work with individuals at all health levels, we offer a special focus on helping those not accustomed to physical activity to develop safe and effective exercise routines. Falls Prevention Classes for Seniors
Falls are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries for older Americans. Falls can also play a major factor in determining your quality of life. However, falling is not an inevitable part of aging. Through practical lifestyle adjustments the number of falls among seniors can be reduced substantially.
Through a New Jersey State Department of Health & Human Services grant, the JFK for Life Health & Fitness Center provides evidence-based workshops to help local seniors address and overcome their personal fear of falling and increase their overall activity level. The sessions focus on exercise, balance, and safety. To find out more about our Falls Prevention Classes taking place in the community, please contact us at 732.632.1610.
