As a leader in rehabilitative care, JFK Johnson’s team of professionals works with the patient and family to set short- and long-term treatment goals for recovery. The goals of a neurological rehabilitation program include helping the individual to return to the highest level of function and independence. It also aims to improve the overall quality of life for that individual—physically, emotionally, socially, and psychologically. We believe that our patients deserve high quality, compassionate care.
In order to meet the unique needs of patients recovering from a neurological condition, we have specially trained staff to manage the physical and emotional needs of each patient. Our therapists are continuously trained in the latest advances in the treatment of individuals who have a neurological condition and use the latest advances in neurological rehabilitation. Our staff also include certified rehabilitation registered nurses (CRRN), guaranteeing that you and your family can feel confident in your rehab nurse’s level of expertise.
Our team of physicians, nurses, therapists (physical, occupational, speech, recreation), social workers, and case managers, are uniquely positioned to work with you and your family and help determine the next level of therapy within our comprehensive system upon discharge from the acute inpatient rehabilitation program. We provide patient and family support to include home accessibility assessments and connections to onsite and community support groups.
