Live with Intent SPEAK OUT!®
SPEAK OUT!® is a speech therapy program that places emphasis on speaking with intent and converting speech from an automatic function to an intentional act.
Working with specially trained speech language pathologists, patients work through speech, voice and cognitive exercises.
The goal of this 12-session program is to help patients strengthen the muscles they use for speaking and swallowing, while also teaching them to speak with intent in a confident and deliberate manner. During each 45-minute session, patients work with speech language pathologists to improve their articulation, breath support, and vocal quality.
Upon completion of the SPEAK OUT!® program, patients join The LOUD Crowd®.
The LOUD Crowd®
The LOUD Crowd® is a weekly program that provides support, encouragement, and accountability between its patient members. Graduates of the SPEAK OUT!® program work with speech language pathologists on exercises in a group setting of their peers.
Patients also perform daily home practice and are re-evaluated every six months to help maintain their communication skills.
