Sagar Parikh, M.D.
Sagar Parikh, MD is an Interventional Pain Medicine Specialist who is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at two top 20 News and World Report Hospitals, Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
Dr. Parikh graduated with Distinction in Research from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and completed a Clinical Research Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Passionate about education, Dr. Parikh is still involved in educational and research related projects and is Associate Program Director of the Pain Fellowship program at JFK Medical Center as well as Assistant Professor at Rutgers Medical School. He has been published in many textbooks and medical journals related to Pain Management and Physical Medicine and is an active member in several professional societies including the American Academy of Pain Medicine and the Association of Academic Physiatrists.
Dr. Parikh has a holistic approach in the treatment of his patients, including reducing their pain and improving their functional ability. In addition to providing skilled and personalized care, Dr. Parikh enjoys educating his patients because he believes that “knowledge” is both empowering and an essential part of the healing process.
Dr. Parikh has a special focus on Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal Injuries and treats a wide spectrum of pain syndromes including but not limited to neck and back pain, facial pain, headaches, cancer related pain, diabetic neuropathy, complex regional pain syndrome, joint pain, and sports and overuse injuries.
